Position: Network Engineer
- Job Purpose
- Responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization’s network infrastructure.
- Ensure stable, secure, and efficient operation of LAN, WAN, internet, and network security systems.
- Provide technical support and ensure maximum network availability.
- Key Responsibilities
Network Installation and Configuration
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Configure LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, DHCP, DNS, and routing protocols.
- Support network expansion and infrastructure upgrade projects.
- Perform network equipment installation and commissioning.
Network Monitoring and Maintenance
- Monitor network performance, connectivity, and bandwidth utilization.
- Conduct regular network health checks and preventive maintenance.
- Identify and resolve network faults and connectivity issues.
- Ensure network uptime and reliability.
Network Security Management
- Configure and maintain firewall rules and security policies.
- Monitor network traffic and identify security threats.
- Implement network security best practices.
- Support vulnerability assessment and security improvement initiatives.
Technical Support
- Provide technical support for network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and vendors for issue resolution.
- Assist users and departments with network-related requirements.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain updated network diagrams, configurations, and documentation.
- Maintain inventory records of network equipment.
- Prepare network performance reports and incident reports.
- Develop and update technical procedures and guidelines.
Project Support
- Support planning and implementation of IT infrastructure projects.
- Assist in deployment of new technologies and network solutions.
- Participate in network upgrade and migration activities.
- Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Required Experience
- Minimum 1–5 years of experience in network administration or network engineering.
- Experience in enterprise networking, ISP environment, or system integration projects is preferred.
- Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
- Knowledge of routing and switching technologies.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar networking equipment.
- Knowledge of firewall configuration and VPN setup.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server and Linux systems.

- Willingness to work beyond normal office hours during emergencies or maintenance.
- Ability to travel to project sites when required.

- Pay Scale
- 1 – 5yrs of Relevant Experience
- Basic – 24,345.00
- Communication Allowance – 1,500.00
- Corporate Allowance – 16,514.00
- Medical Allowance – 2,000.00
- PF – 10% of the basic pay
Gross pay – 44,359.00
- 6 – 10yrs of Relevant Experience
- Basic – 34,650.00
- Communication Allowance – 1,500.00
- Corporate Allowance – 31,350.00
- Medical Allowance – 2,500.00
- PF – 10% of the basic pay
Gross pay – 70,000.00
